6. How to Stop “Educational Should(ing)” on Yourself and Your Kids

We all have those concerns running constantly in our minds as homeschool parents. “What should my kid be learning at __ grade?” “How do I know what they need to know at __ age?” “I don’t want my kids to fall behind.” “How do I know if they’re on track?” That is the definition of what I call the “Educational Should."

The result of the “Educational Should” is lower love of learning, self-doubt, lower self-confidence and the feeling of being “not smart.” It doesn’t have to be this way!

By the end of this episode, you’ll learn what it is, where it comes from, and how you can unlearn it and stop “shoulding” on yourself and your kids!

If you’re looking to make sure your kids don’t fall behind, wondering what they need to know at a certain age/grade or how to stop pressuring yourself and family and keep love of learning high, this episode is for you! This is one to listen to over and over!
